Sheila and Ron's Elopement

It was a day unlike any other. Sheila and Ron's relationship went to the next level. We all know weddings can be stressful to organize with countless details and guests to tend to. This wedding was actually suppose to be pretty simple but not to say it wasn't stressful at all. Sheila put so much thought into the decor and the location she wanted for her special union with Ron. Even though all of these details were important, they didn't take top priority for Sheila and Ron.

Being second marriages and two kids joining one household, it was obvious to me what they felt was most important to them. As I got to know them I did a little digging.

I asked Sheila and Ron a few questions and here is what they had to say:

How did you know that he was the one? What do you love most about him?

Sheila : Wow…hard question…or is it suppose to be easy ;) I will try to say this a simply as possible. At a young age I had to be self reliant which as caused me to make myself a priority. He’s the first person besides my son that I put ahead of myself or the things I think I may want. I can’t wait for him to get home every day even though I naturally love my own space. He doesn’t know this but almost every night when he goes to bed I’m disappointed…why…because I always want just a few more minutes with him. I know that I can live without him but I know life is so much better with him by my side.

How did you know she was the one? What do you love most about her?

Ron: The first time I saw her from a distance I was very drawn to her. The way she looked and held herself in a crowd, I couldn’t stop staring.

She makes me feel special, taking my feeling into consideration.

Sheila: He knows the words and artists to so many songs. I would put all my faith in him to win any sort of music trivia for the 70’s and 80’s. He is a clean freak some may consider it OCD but I find it so funny that he will wear his sneakers in the house…put them on furniture or even our bed. He says their clean (indoor sneakers) but I think he says that to make himself feel better…

Ron:She cares a lot about others, she has a big heart.

What are you most looking forward to at your wedding?

Sheila: I know I don’t sound like the typical bride but I am so excited to say “I do!” Most women dream of the dress, the ring, the people but I don’t want any details to take priority over the simplicity of the union itself.

What are you most looking forward to on your wedding day?

Ron: Becoming one with each other, solidifying our family as one.

Finally calling her my wife!

The day was chilly by the water but the love would heat you up instantly. They only had their two children with them on this special day. Keeping it simple, I still feel this was one of the most romantic ways to tie the knot. Elopements are probably my new favourite thing to shoot . It's so intimate, romantic, not rushed and you get to focus more on the couple rather than every other distraction.

I am so happy that Sheila and Ron trusted me to make this day a dream come true. I couldn't think of two more deserving people.
